The self-levelling and sound-absorbing shims cannot be used to construct lifter floors without the use of modular support pads or support pads with adjustable height!
The levelling shim is used to level small differences in the level of the ground and the manufacture differences in the thickness of the slabs.
The shim may be broken in order to level the height in a given area of the modular support pad.
The sound-absorbing shim, made of rubber, removes the vibrations when placed under a terrace slab, which in turn reduces the excessive noise (the so-called slab curling effect).
It can be used in all adjustable and non-adjustable (modular) support pads.
It can also be used as a levelling shim thanks to the possibility to cut it.

The sound-absorbing (rubber) levelling shim should be placed on top of the support pad in order to reduce the noise and vibration or be used as a levelling shim over or under the non-adjustable (so-called modular) support pad.
